New to Zumba?
A lot of new people are worried about coordination or dance ability. You don't need to have dance experience, skills, or even a right foot. I want everyone to know this is NOT a dance lesson. You do not need to be coordinated and nobody else has a chance to watch you. So come try it out and have fun! You won't regret it!

My Personal Testimonial

It was late November 2008 when I signed up for a program at my gym to win a free tee shirt. With the program, you could earn the tee shirt if you earned certain points for strength training, cardio training, taking fitness classes, and other activities. Having never taken a class before, I decided I'd need to take classes to earn enough points. I found Zumba on the schedule, and it sounded fun, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I was the gym member who would get all fired up about really doing it this time, go for two weeks, then quit for 3, 6, or even 12 months at a time. I was approximately 180 pounds, 5'4" tall, and coming near to a size 16 in my clothes.

I finally got to a class on December 12, 2008. I took my class with a Zumba Instructor there and was immediately hooked. I started out with 2-3 classes per week, and soon after I was there as often as I could. In less than 30 days, I felt so passionately about this program, that I wanted to become an Instructor.

I went to my Basics Level 1 Workshop on March 14, 2009, and have been teaching since May 2009. I currently teach several classes each week, and I love helping everyone else see and feel the way I always have when participating in a Zumba Fitness class. To date, I have lost 40 pounds with this program, and was able to go off of my blood pressure medication as a result of my newfound cardiovascular health. I hope to inspire others to get fit while having fun too!
